Respiratory System
The body requires oxygen to stay alive and it does so by activating the respiratory system. It is designed to absorb as much oxygen as possible and thereafter be linked to the bloodstream to be carried to wherever it is needed. When oxygen enters the cells, the energy is released and cells can function. Upon which, cells also produce a waste gas, carbon dioxide that requires the system again to expel it from the body. The functions of Respiratory System are for gas exchange, pH balance, warm & humidify the air,
enhance the venous return, protection, voice production and smell.
