The sample reunites for the first time, from its dispersion in 1909, the eight mythological carpets that integrated the magnificent series of Willem Pannemaker dedicated to the loves of Mercurio and Her. These carpets, coming from the Ducal Foundation Medinaceli, the House of Dawn, the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York and the own Museum of the Prado, where two cloth of this tapestry is conserved, before never exhibited, transcribe in gold threads and soothes verses of Ovid on the loves of the messenger God with the daughter of the king of Ã?tica.

One is the first exhibition that the Museum of the Prado dedicates to the carpet of the hand of one of the best upholsterers of the flamenco Renaissance. It worked for the nobility and the main European real houses of century XVI and provided of masterpieces to the court of Carlos I and its son Felipe II.
