The past 12 of May, the president of the Government announced a package of economic measures oriented to solve the serious budgetary problems that east country has. Most problematic for us he is, without a doubt, the freezing of the pensions.
 
Beyond the political analysis that can be realized and of the discussion on their convenience, I consider opportune to value to what extent it is going to us to affect, pensioners, the governmental initiative.
 
First of all, that is congealed the public pensions suppose a loss in the spending power of about five million people, since although the group of pensioners he is ampler, the measurement will not affect to the minimum pensions nor the noncontributing ones.
 
Secondly, that loss of spending power at this moment is relative, since we do not know which is going to be the evolution of the inflation.
